Default Flatulent Brakes

I've had the chance to drive a few random non-IS vehicles lately and I keep noticing a strange discrepency when compared to my '350. In my car, when one puts their foot on or takes their foot off the brake at a very slow speed, a pronounced 'farting' type noise conistently eminates from the car. So my question is simply whether or not this is normal (it doesn't happen in any other cars I've driven lately) and if not, what could the cause be?

Misleading title. A "Flatulent Break" (actually, "Flatulence Break" would be more grammatically correct) would be a few minutes one takes off from work or play to rid oneself of excess intestinal gas.

I think you mean "Brakes" instead of breaks.

So now that I see what you're posting about, I have no comment.

I say lay off the beans and garlic for a while. Must be some wiring problem between your brake foot and your rear.

I wouldn't compare that noise to a fart.... But I do hear a noise from time to time as well. It mostly happens when the brakes are wet....

Payam... you HAD to say wet didn't you. Admit it. You couldn't resist.

Cheers,

I know the sound you're refferring to, but I have noticed it with a number of vehicles... Infact I'm pretty sure i've been able to reproduce that sound in just about every vehicle i've drivin.
