Default Lease question on maintenance

I'm interested in leasing the new is350, but I'm new to this leasing game. My dealer mentioned that I need to service my car at the dealership. When I looked at the recommended maintenance, it shows frequent services and it's expensive. Am I required to do servicing at Lexus dealerships or can I just get the basic oil changes.

Thanks!

You are not required to have your car serviced at the dealer. Any lease merely requires you to "maintain" the car properly, and it doesn't take a dealer to do that.

I've leased cars for years and in most cases never went back to the dealer after taking delivery. Jiffy Lube oil changes and I change things like wiper blades, air filters, etc. I just had lease-end inspections on two cars this morning, and the guy never even mentioned maintenance records or anything of the kind.

Don't sweat it. Just take care of the car as you normally would.
