About 2:30 am and I hear an alarm going off. Half asleep I get up and look out the window and groan, it's my IS. Oh, s***. Fumble around for my key FOB and go downstairs and turn the lights on, go outside to check out the car. All looks fine. Maybe the car has motion sensors and tried to break in, I thought.

I go upstairs to try to figure out what set off the alarm. Then it dawned on me that I had left my key fob in a pair of shorts that I placed on the floor--sometime during the night my dog had wandered upstairs and probably stepped on the key fob and set it off. Of course when I asked her, she had no comment, but wagged her tail as if to say okay now you're up, it's time to play right? So much for a good night's sleep. I suppose it was better than finding out that someone had actually broken into the car.

DANG!!! really thats cheap! Didnt know Lexus went stingy on the alarm... Even the cheap MINI has a motion sensor on their alarm... abet its a paied OEM option but you figure a car thats worth twice as much and if they were to include an "alarm" it would be half decent.

You got that right....a strong Canadian Dollar, combined with a weak American Dollar = almost a 1 to 1 exchange now.....more like 7/8 to 1, but you get the point.

Default window down, alarm sound

When you open all the windows with the FOB as you walk up to it, the car locks itself if you don't open any door. I reached into the rear driver door to unlock and that's when the alarm went off.
