stock alarm?
#16
About 2:30 am and I hear an alarm going off. Half asleep I get up and look out the window and groan, it's my IS. Oh, s***. Fumble around for my key FOB and go downstairs and turn the lights on, go outside to check out the car. All looks fine. Maybe the car has motion sensors and tried to break in, I thought.
I go upstairs to try to figure out what set off the alarm. Then it dawned on me that I had left my key fob in a pair of shorts that I placed on the floor--sometime during the night my dog had wandered upstairs and probably stepped on the key fob and set it off. Of course when I asked her, she had no comment, but wagged her tail as if to say okay now you're up, it's time to play right? So much for a good night's sleep. I suppose it was better than finding out that someone had actually broken into the car.

My IS350 was broken into about 3 weeks ago through the driver window. They didn't open the door, so the alarm didn't activate. There is NO shock, motion, or glass brakeage sensor on the OEM alarm, but it can be added aftermarket. BTW, it took almost 3 weeks and $1988 to repair.

window down, alarm sound
When you open all the windows with the FOB as you walk up to it, the car locks itself if you don't open any door. I reached into the rear driver door to unlock and that's when the alarm went off.

just got back from vacation and my car got broken into.
i read on a post somewhere that if the door windows are broken the alarm will go off?
the sonso***********es broken in through the sunroof and climbed in... seats are all scratched up and roof is dented.
does the stock alarm not have a shock sensor?
end rant.
