I contacted bmracing a several months ago, they said they would only develop a short shifter if I provided them with a deman list of approx. 300 buyers...needless to say I didn't submit the poll I placed on here of approx 6 or 7 people...I'm at a loss, I really want a short shifter and a lighter flywheel.

Making a short shifter from a stock piece isn't all that tough. That's where the first Supra short shifters in the US were born - Bryce Danna's garage - the BD Motorsports shifter. Just cut the bottom side, insert metal sleeve, weld sleeve to both ends, voila! Short shifter.

well i would have signed up, but after reading a few threads on how some people are having issues with the MT, i might forgo that for an Auto

Shoyuu, dont be so down bro. The manual is fine. There is no real mechanical problem with the stick shift. It's just that it doesn't live up to the rest of the car. Now go get a manual 250!
