Default 2007 Lexus IS 250/350??

in the new edition of MT, it has all the new cars...and there is a pic of the IS, but it says at the time they went into publication, the pictures of the 2007 version were still embargoed...they mentioned some front fascia and detail changes i believe

is this true?...can anyone confirm?

Now that would be some serious news worth knowing, but I can not imagine it being true!

here is what it says exactly

WHAT'S NEW: Formal changes due the IS250 and IS350 were still embargoed as we went to press, but the sportiest members of hte Lexus set will get minor cosmetic and performance enhancements as the Gen-II iteration enters its the sophomore season. Strongest enthusiast buzz continues to focus on an upgraded suspension package.
DRIVER'S CHOICE: There's just something fundamentally right about matching up 300-plus horses and sport sedan. Step up to the IS350
SUM UP: MOVING EVER CLOSER TO A 3 SERIES 4 stars

i'm guessing the performance enhancement will be to the IS250

IMO, that information is fairly false.

Don't expect anything really new in the 2007 IS's. Besides, info on '07 has been posted all over.

I read this article too. They need to announce the 2007 model already. This wait sucks.

I would love to but we cannot ruin our ties with Lexus Corporate.

It's a media embargo. No press outlet can publish the time sensitive info until the agreed embargo ending date.

Man, this is good stuff...Would LOVE if Lexus would step up the power on the 250 to maybe 230-240 horses...Get the 60 time to about 6.5-6.8. Enough power for any average person. Make XM/Sirius standard. Would make my day!

i dont think it will happen anytime soon, but basically all they have to do is drop in the GS300 245 hp engine into the IS to make the IS300, since its the same engine just stroked for more displacement.
