Default Debadged 2is Pictures

Does anyone have pictures of their debadged 2is, preferrebly a lighter color one. And no it isn't because i'm ashamed of my 250, but rather I think lexus went a little crazy with all the badging.

Yea, I knew that but I am curious to see how bad the holes really are.

I wouldn’t be surprised that Toyota, who dislikes debadging as much as I do, made those big holes, rather than using glue, to discourage the practice.

there are 4 holes, two on each side to postion the emblems.........they are about 1/6 in diameter and they are noticable if you remove your emblems. I know this because i removed my emblems thinking they could be shaved........opps 75.00 mistake. (emblems to replace the ones i removed cost 75.00)

I concur with kilo6_one. I saw a IS250 today on the road with the LEXUS and IS250 debadged and there is two holes on each emblems. I rather not debadge the emblems. Looks ugly with the holes.

the funny thing about debadging is the only people that will notice it are the people who understand that its tasteless

I debadged mine, not cause I try to pass it off for a 350, but I really don't like advertising for someone else. I really like how in Europe, the level of the Benz or Bimmer doesn't matter, no 330cdi on one side and diesel on the other with the big Benz in the middle---it's smooth and clean with just the center symbol (I think they do now have numbers, but years ago they didn't---don't remember too much of the trip to Paris last year).

Can't notice the holes unless up close. If I ever get a ding on the back, I'll get them filled and smoothed out. I already posted pics somewhere, but they too were of a Blk IS.

Default Pages 8 & 9 of the IS 250/350 Gallery

Show my SGM 06 250 AWD debadged, with the black pearl "L"'s on front grille and trunk lid. You can click on and enlarge the pics. Will guarantee that after 4 months, not one person has noticed.

Especially while driving, and someone else is concentrating on driving, but giving you a passing glance, or at night etc. I think it's a much cleaner look, and I'm very happy with my decision.

Did any IS350 owners debadge their car? So far it only looks like IS250 owners are removing them. When I had an Eclipse Spyder GTS I also found that you only really saw the GS owners removing the emblems from their car. I guess it’s cheaper than actually paying for the higher model car.

I owned a GX 470 which is a more expensive vehicle than the IS 350, and debadged it. No holes, all adhesive by the way. I'm consistent with this, regardless of the vehicle, and will always do it, no matter make or model.

I was thinking about removing L on my IS350 to replace with scion badge (i thought it was funny). Too many people say don't do it. So i threw that idea away.

I tend to agree with you.

I used to be involved in restoring old cars and belonged to a few old car clubs. For judging, it was important that the car look exactly like it did when first sold. I once spent a year looking for the correct grill badge for my old 1951 Pontiac Chieftain. I finally found one at an auto swap meet.

Now I know a 2006 IS is not yet in that league, but I can’t help but image 50 years from now some angry new owner asking, “Why the hell did someone take off that badge?”
