it's $298 and $30 for mount & balance. The car is three months old with 8600 miles and I found a large nail right in the f@#$ing shoulder where it can't be repaired. I was surprised at how little they've worn so far...I was still at 8/32 tread (new is about 10/32) so I'm less worried about having one new rear tire. Most of my driving is highway so that helped.
Thankfully I'll get $150 back - w00t for wheel and tire insurance.

update...dealer just called and the insurance company is going to send me a check for the full amount....but my term maximum is still the same ($600) but I'll take that chance.

I suppose the dealer needs to make its 100% profit too. Those tires, IMO, are worth about $75, if that. Too bad a person needs to get bent over the barrel for a replacement.
I bought the tire and wheel protection for both of our Lexi as well. It was a smart move, as I've already had to repair 2 tires in 3 months. FL is the road debris capital of the world...

I actually like the Dunlops. They trammel a little more than I would like but they're relatively quiet (I'll be able to make a better comparison when I slap the PS2's on next week) and they do seem to be wearing well. PS2's are great but they wear out like gumballs in comparison.

No doubt, the Dunlops tramline terribly. The Bridgestone RE-050 would have been a much better tire in every respect. It's kind of "the tire to use" these days, and for good reason.

Another thing to consider, the Bridgestones are about 2lbs heavier per tire than the Dunlops, and the Michelins are about 2lbs lighter than the Dunlops - of course the Michelins are also more $$$. (Thus the Bridgestones are 4lbs heavier than the Michelins - thats over 10%)
