I have a question for the rest of the IS owners, which tire have owners had better experience with, Bridgestones or Dunlop?

It may be too insignificant to tell a difference. Unless if you ride the car like a racer in inclement weather, the tires should perform similarly.

Overall, I think the Dunlops are better, but in reality what matters is the tire size you pick and the line from the manufacturer. Most companies will provide several lines, at different prices, with different types of construction. Check to see which line from which manufacturer gives you the features you look for in your tires and you will be set.

i dont get it, i thot everyone likes the bridgestone potenzas re050 better. it has good performance but way better tread life...

the dunlops also have that strange "pulling to the right" thing going on with them...or at least that's what I took away from that huge thread

I was under the impression that the Dunlop's have the better tred life. I've got well over 13k miles on my IS350 paired with the Dunlop's and still have plenty of tread.

not sure how they decide what tire goes where but my brother's 250 came with the dunlops and my 250 came with the bridgestones. both are awd's by the way so go figure ...???

Depends on how you define "similarly". I'd say that the difference in performance between the tires can be significant to the trained driver, especially as evidenced in the comparison between the stock Dunflops, and the RE-050's. The RE's are a much better performing tire. And what is considered "at the limits" for the Dunflops, are not as close "to the limits" for the RE's.

Which of the tires have less road noise, better traction, and longer tread life? I have had bad experiences with dunlops my other cars.

Stock Dunlops SP Sport Maxx are on mine and they are very good...to me pretty sticky. They should last at least 20K miles with agressive driving, perhaps 25K which they are closey rated for. I plan on changing them at 20K.

I obviously have not had the others stock bridgestones, but many have complained about the sub 18K miles of tread they are getting.
