I saw some performance chips (at least that's what they claim) in Ebay Motors. It says additional 20 to 25 hp. Is this BS?

Even bigger pile of whoey! It is just a resistor that supposedly tricks the ECU into thinking the IAT is higher so that it delivers less fuel. It doesn't work.

So it sounds like the best option is to put an air intake on it. Any advice on which one, how much it costs, or what type of gains I could expect?

well its a huge debate on how much an intake will actually help in terms of power...sound yes, hp gains big debate
