One thing, though... how exactly did your car get smashed up the way it did by someone being distracted and moving left? Unless she just merged and then stopped in front of you, you'd have to be going pretty damn fast to yield an accident like the one shown in the pics... like, twice as fast as she was.
and for the DV claim im definately going to look into that... thanks guys...
as for it coming out as new, i have full confidence in the shop i took the car to. its http://www.collisionconcepts.com/ a very ncie place that were working on a few very nice cars. THey have a before and after photo album and from the pictures, everything to the 1990 camrys to the 2005 ferraris came out looking great.
Costs are now over 20 Grand, kind of scary...

$20K puts it into "total loss" category for many insurance companies. That should work heavily in your favor for a DV claim. BTW, when you talk to them about the DV claim, make sure you mention how upset you are that it will be on your car's Carfax report, which will make it harder to sell.

wow with 20k in damage they better write that car off and let you get a new one. I don't think I would want to drive that, it will never be the same
and when you try to resell its going to be much harder. I hope everything works out with the insurance company, push for a new car man..
