Normal mode all the time. Power mode only when racing someone at a light. Snow mode only in the snow.

Default snow mode

I generally leave it in drive, but if I hit the brakes, it pisses me off when it jumps from 6th to 4th at 60mph, so then I put it in S. Sometimes snow mode, while in drive, cause I like the way it keeps a gear and you get to use all that torque. its a good car. I like the rear wheel drive. I never like torque steer in front wheel drive cars.

I'm hardly ever in PWR mode. The only time I turn it on is if I'm anticipating a race or if I need the quicker responce when passing slower traffic.

I don't get 27mpg going downhill, with the wind at my back, in neutral, engine off, being pulled by a tow-truck.

My tank average is probably about 20.

I'd like to use the paddle shifter to pass slow traffic. Kicking down gives you much more power to accerlate.

I use normal most of the time now. I must resist the urge.

I used it alot when I just got the car....yeah....speedy. Must stop now.
Huh? The car will downshift on its own coming to a stop regardless of whether you're in S mode or not. There's no reason to click down through the gears unless you want to. The point is, the option's there all the time if you want to in S mode. If you don't, you don't need to.

I treat the car more or less like a manual, since that's what I'm used to driving. I'm pretty much constantly shifting between gear 3-6. The 1-2 or 2-1 shift I let the ECU take care of. I have a decent set of twisties on my commute, so I'm constantly shifting when I'm hustling through those, and when in traffic, I'm engine braking using 5th and 4th a lot. I'd get bored if I wasn't....

Mine is in 100% PWR mode all the time as well. If I was worried about gas milage then I would have got a Prius.

I use S mode with PWD ECT when I am along...haha
I use D mode when I drive my wife and son...
The normal traffic (city drive) D mode is the best...
For less traffic S mode will give you the sport feeling... with PWD mode the Sporty side of the IS comes alive... you will drive much more faster...

For the ones driving in Snow mode, have you actually noticed an increase in MPG?

I drive in normal mode 75% of the time and PWR mode 25% of the time.
