It's identified and correctly referenced in all the tech documentation. Sales brochures are often "optimistic." I work in sales. I very often find myself doing damage control for what the marketing material says compared to what the product really does.

any ideas if the new sports package could possibly come with the starfish wheels, if so I may consider just getting the full blown sport instead of X

probably not, most of the packages are mutually exclusive you can have one or the other, usually not both (as they share common items, so they dont let you get both) Your best bet is to probably go with premium package and X package + HID to get close to lux

Is it a sure thing that we would be able to get the premium package with the x package? I am wondering, but, hope you are right. They do not share the same options, so maybe we can get it that way.

I was at the local Lexus dealer this afternoon discussing 07 IS350 pricing
and I saw an inventory detail printout for one of the incoming.
The price increase on the base price was $265 compared to the same car in 06.
Options for Lux and Nav/ML appeared to be the same $$.

Noticed the sport package doesn't specify that the interior trim is different anymore - only aluminum pedals and door sills. Maybe sport has the base metallic trim now?

I dont know if you guys have seen or noticed this, but I didn't see any HIDs/AFs on the standard features?? There was a rumor about this on bunch of CL threads and was wondering what the deal is with HIDs/AFs on 07???

its not standard its a stand alone option now, so you dont have to buy some 3500 dollar package just to get HID, right side of the big starfish wheel you can see options and accessories, you can see HID/AFS alone by itself which means its standalone

Noticed there is now Ipod integration, no longer have to use a fix/hack

So to confuse us even further, the difference between the x-package and the sport package is a stiffer suspension and option of having/not having the sunroof in the x-package????

theres less stuff in the x package, you dont have the perforated leather, heated/vent seats HID, but the sport package doesnt have the front spoiler, illuminated sills that the X does

I think its the same AUX input, it mentions an interface for iPod/MP3/Windows Media Player, which is how the current AUX input is mentioned.
