Is this the PermaShield crap that the dealers try to push? For both the interior and exterior. I asked for a clear bra with my deal and they included this crap with my car. It also included a reapplication bottle to be used every year or so. Save your $$

Be sure you read the fine print if you must buy this crap. The five year warranty involves you bringing the car in annually to be redone. In other words...and I emphasize this...there is NO SUCH THING as a sealant or wax that lasts five years!!!!!

They know that most people won't come back each year for additional applications, so they make plenty of profit on this. Even if you did, 5 applications of any sealant is less than 1/4 of an average sized bottle. That, combined with having their prep guy do the work, probably costs the dealer around $40 total over the course of five years, if that. How much are you paying them for the "protection"?

Please do yourself a favor and buy a PC random orbital buffer, a good polish, and a good sealant and/or wax. The annual application your dealer will do for you does not include polishing of any kind, just straight application of product. Any swirling, etc - which you WILL HAVE if you have black paint, even if you're insane about being careful when washing - will remain.

I hope this helps you at least think twice before throwing away your money on what amounts to little more than a coat of over the counter NXT on your car.
