It looks good on a Black or even SGM, but otherwise, I'd stay away from it.

Carbon fiber is nice, but since the IS is already heavy, it's like saying "No thanks, I'll hold off the whipped cream for my banana split." The weight reduction is not sufficient enough to warrant a need for it.

I'll keep my money for other mods...

I liken it to polishing a turd. Sure, it's shiny. But it's still a turd.

Seibon has some good products, I order the hood from Genuine Performance, thinking about the trunk lid too

Agree

It's like me losing 5 lbs. or throwing a deck chair off the titanic. However, every little bit helps.

I'm sure it would look nice but like it was said before, that little bit of wieght isn't worth the thousands you'd spend on it...

for both the hood and trunk, it would come out to under $2k. therefore it would only be $1 thousands

Someone on here has to know the definitive difference in weight between the carbon fiber and stock parts.

If it's only 5-10 lbs, (which is why I am assuming no one has spoken up yet)... you are seriously better off going on a diet. You'll actually SAVE money that way and feel damn good about it.

Now if they start making CF doors and quarter panels, that might be getting somewhere.

If it's just for cosmetics, it boils down to personal opinion. As long as you're happy with it at the end of the day.
