Sirius Radio Tuner
I was browsing through Sirius' site and found this:

Will this work with the Non-ML system? Much cheaper.

I'd like to know too. Seems like a much more reasonable price, more in line with what it should cost for sat radio in these cars. Heck, I can buy a High Definition Tivo box for $40 less than the current going price of the Sirius sat unit. Doesn't make much sense.
Maybe someone could buy one of these from Best Buy, etc. and try it. If it doesn't work you could always return it.
I would try it but i don't have an IS yet.

I would venture to say no it will not work because the lexus unit also has to integrate into the vehicles existing stereo/nav system screen and controls.
Unless.....you buy the tuner and buy the xm harness seperate from the lexus dealership then install it that way....in fact it may work if the harness is what controls everything else. If all tuners are made alike then it would probably work. Why don't you try e-mailing Pioneer or calling them. I bet the harness would only cost like $20-30 bucks then the tuner is $100 and bam you got sirius for really really cheap.
Maybe some of the electrical people in this board may be able to shed some light on the harness aspect, because if that is the only thing that controls the integration into the car and Lexus tuner is the same as pioneer, which from pictures looks the same to me, anyone go the picture of the lexus tuner side by side to the pioneer, or maybe someone can post it.
I think it is a possibility that if someone would want to try it would be realitvly in expensive. Actually I will look into the cost of the harness and may try it myself after calling pioneer first.

Here's a copy of the installation manual, looks like it is only for retail Pioneer headunits, I doubt it will work with our Lexus OEM headunit.
