IS Series in a Coupe? Convertable?

I was talking with a person high up in the Lexus organization and he told me that they had original plans, that dates back before the IS250/350 even was released, to introduce a IS Coupe and possibly a IS convertable off the Coupe. There is no hard evidence that this is still on the agenda, but I thought it was an interesting thought.
"'The key to volume growth is the IS 300,' Press said at the Detroit show. 'It's in a price category where having volume is OK. It's feeder stock for future Lexus purchases.'
Clements promises the IS 300 replacement will do a better job competing against the BMW 3 series and its 16 variants, which sell about 10,000 units a month.
'We'll have a sedan, coupe and convertible, all-wheel drive and a couple of engine choices,' Clements said. 'It's a huge opportunity. Right now the IS 300 has a cult following, but we could be doing 5,000 or 6,000 units a month.'"

I have seen some literature on the IS 500 Im sure its as questionable as the rest but it says around 420hp.Which is more inline of what its going to take to compete with the AMGs and Ms.They wont be using the 4.3 they will more likely be using a version of the new LS's 4.6 or Toyotas new 5.7.But only time will tell.
