The shark fin takes away from the overall flow of the car's lines, but it does look much better than the "wart" antenna.

shrak fins always just remind me of BMW's...
i dont know why.. but seems like if i had one... it would be cause im jealous of BMW?? like their angel eyes... ppl get them.. but its a BMW copy...
i dont wanna be like a BMW!!!!

I have to agree with you. I'll take the fin over the wart especially if its not
even painted to match the car like the IS had this year.

I spoke to my Lexus Dealer and the they told me that the shark fin is a phone antenna. It's not a satelite radio atenna.

I doubt this. Not an issue for cells phones today. Using an external antenna
would waste the wireless benefits of Bluetooth.

no point in having a car phone since everybody has a cell phone nowadays. unless it was some onstar or lexus link antenna thingy?

Shark fin, doesn't go with the flow of the car. it simply looks weird.

I hope mine doesn't come with one, I'll find out in 2 weeks

The website also indicates that wood is not standard anymore. Is plastic standard?

The "metallic" plastic has always been standard, wood is an upgrade in the Premium and Luxury packages. Sport has a silver "metallic" interior.

I wonder why Lexus didn't go with the SIRIUS Interior Glass Mounted Antenna (SIGMA). It’s integrated into the rearview mirror; definitely the way to go for those worried about exterior aesthetics.
