Hey guys. I went to the lexus dealer today to check up on the low tire warning that was on in my IS. Anyone get this? Anyways, while I was waiting for the service worker I noticed an IS with a shark fin on it. It was indeed the 2007 IS and I took a couple of pics and I attached one with this post in case some of you are wondering how it will look. I apologize if someone already posted the pics. The HID option was $875 and there was an wood interior trim package cost. I found that weird since it was an 250awd and I thought wood was standard. The wood interior trim cost was 400 something. I apologize if I attached these incorrectly for I am a newb.

In that particular picture, with the shark fin, it really looks an A4 to me. Can you have a shark fin installed on your 06? I ask because the antenna they installed on my trunk is not nearly as receptive as the shark fin that I had on my a4.

I don't believe you can have the sharkfin installed on a 2006. I guess anything is possible, but you would need to drill a hole in the roof, move the wires so they go up through the hole and then somehow seal the sharkfin.

The reception, not to mention the look, of the black box antenna on the 2006s was not good. I am sure glad to see the sharkfin. Even if it does nothing I like the look of it. My understanding was the sharkfin was ready to be used on the 2006s (as it was used in Japan), but something with the patent on the design prohibited its use in the U.S. until now. I'm not sure if this story is true but I've heard it from a few sources.

It's funny how many lies I'm told about the IS.

My dealer says I can't buy a 250RWD, another says they don't make the 250 in automatic, and Lexus directly told me no dealer will have an '07 until late September or early October.
