Looking at that hardtop convertible photo, I have no idea how Lexus will figure out how to get a hardtop into the trunk of this car, even if it's in 3 or 4 folding panels. It just doesn't seem feasible.
I wouldn't buy it anyway...it's contrary to the point of the car, IMO. It will increase the weight of the vehicle, lessen rigidity, and increase NVH issues. Plus, the very high beltline on this car would seem to make a convertible feel less comfortable.
Just my opinions. Incidentally, I'd also skip an 8 cylinder engine in an IS...talk about plowing into corners.

If you want an idea on how the IS convertible may look like, check out the Pontiac G6 convertible. That will probably give you the best idea on how it will look like...
