Any Texans here with Black Leather?
If so, do you still have any skin left on your butt and legs? I'm just wondering how much truth there is to all the black leather horror stories.
I've had mixed experiences with it myself, definitely not enough to pass judgement, but it seems like in the worst case scenario, it can be more than uncomfortable. It can be downright painful.
... And on a somewhat related note, does anyone here with black PAINT have any "horror stories" about keeping it looking clean that they think I should know about?

Well, I'm in AZ with the same kinda heat. I have blk interior with 5% tint all around. and I use a sunshield. Even with shorts, the seats don't get too hot. Usually nothing is really hot except the atmosphere in the car....which rolling the windows down before entering the car can help. Before I got my tint, the seats, steering wheel, and shift **** would be extremely hot, but after the tint, everything was fine.

I have black leather interior and no special tint. I keep a sunshield in the front window. Don't have a problem with the seats being too hot to sit on even with shorts. Even though the car is sitting out in the sun all day, by 5:00 I can sit on the seats without a problem.
