Default Any Texans here with Black Leather?

If so, do you still have any skin left on your butt and legs? I'm just wondering how much truth there is to all the black leather horror stories.

I've had mixed experiences with it myself, definitely not enough to pass judgement, but it seems like in the worst case scenario, it can be more than uncomfortable. It can be downright painful.

... And on a somewhat related note, does anyone here with black PAINT have any "horror stories" about keeping it looking clean that they think I should know about?

just get tint, use a windshield sunscreen when parked, crack a window, helps a ton to keep the in car temps down

wrd.. I got 20% Llumar film all the way around and my JDM visors on GS300 black on black. Definately get the sunshield. It helps tremendously in the Houston heat and humidity!

Well, I'm in AZ with the same kinda heat. I have blk interior with 5% tint all around. and I use a sunshield. Even with shorts, the seats don't get too hot. Usually nothing is really hot except the atmosphere in the car....which rolling the windows down before entering the car can help. Before I got my tint, the seats, steering wheel, and shift **** would be extremely hot, but after the tint, everything was fine.

I have black leather, I don't mind the heat, but I do mind the wear!

Cool

I have black leather interior and no special tint. I keep a sunshield in the front window. Don't have a problem with the seats being too hot to sit on even with shorts. Even though the car is sitting out in the sun all day, by 5:00 I can sit on the seats without a problem.

Tint will make more difference than the color of your leather. I have black leather, and haven't noticed any more discomfort than the light grey leather I had in my old Lincoln.

once your car interior temps hit 130+ it doesnt matter what color your is, its gonna be hot anyways, cracking the window alone will drop the temp much closer to ambient, windshield screen helps even more
