No Nav destination override on '07 IS
I picked up my '07 IS350 on Saturday
One thing I've not seen posted here yet... I can't override the Nav destination restriction using the menu, volume, etc. trick. Pressing on the upper left corner of the display does nothing. I've read the posts and followed the directions, but no luck. Looks like this method is gone.
It's still a SWEET ride.

The west coast must get new Lexus' earlier than the east coast. My dealer won't even order an '07 for me and has no idea when he's even going to get any in.
If you don't mind me asking this, what did you end up paying for it? I've been actively searching other states to see if I can get one sooner.

If that is true, could you check the version on your
NAV DVD. The 06's have Data Ver.05.1
This could open up new posibilities into hacking the
NAV unit to get rid of the legal "I Agree" screen.
It is believed that all the programing code is on the DVD.
In particular in a file called loading.kiwi.
(The "I Agree" text is imbedded in this file).
If it is indeed a newer revision DVD in the 07's, could someone
please send me a copy of the loading.kiwi file from it. I'd like
to compile the diffences in the code in order to help
crack it.

I guess just to clarify you are indeed going to "Menu" then "Volume" then pressing UP LEFT, DOWN LEFT, UP LEFT, DOWN LEFT and nothing happens... you need to make sure you are pressing hard enough (I still miss it occasionally).
Just for fun try adding DOWN RIGHT at the end, which accessed on some Gen 3/4 navs...
Also check to see that the other menu still works by having the car on or on accessory and holding "INFO" while switching from off to on on the headlight stalk 3 times. This should bring up another service menu. I'd like to see if this one is disabled too.
I'll see if I can find anything about changes to the diagnostic menu for the '07s in the meantime...

So I never have to press the I-agree screen, mine goes away automatically. At first I thought no big deal, doesn't matter if I have to press that button everyday...but I have to admit, while it's not a big deal or a big relief now or now I can relax or now I'm no longer annoyed situation, I don't miss it either.

Tell you what - if this is true, then I'm SOOOOOO glad I got an '06. I've run with "crippled" Nav's before and it sux to such a major degree that it'll be a major consideration in the purchase of my future cars.
Hotdawg, please make sure you are doing this right:
- Press the Menu button;
- Touch the Volume icon on the screen;
- Touch upper left corner of screen;
- Touch lower left corner of screen;
- Touch upper left corner of screen;
- Touch lower left corner of screen; (Note there's nothing there in the way of an icon or anything in any of these upper and lower left screen touches.)
A menu screen should then come up;
Touch and hold "Override" until you hear a beep and the Override button turns blue;
Back out of the screen using the "Back" button on-screen, return to the Map screen with the Map/Guide button and you're good to go.
Inquiring minds are waiting to hear ........

According to the manual, pressing once on the VSC Off button disables the TRAC until the car gets above a preset speed (it doesn't say what the speed is). Pressing and holding the button a second time (for three seconds) will disable the TRAC and VSC. It will not be automatically re-enabled when the car's speed increases.

The diagnostic menu DOES appear when you do the headlight switch trick.
Oh, and someone asked... the version on the map DVD is 06.01.

i hardly ever do the nav override, maybe i've done it like 3 times because i needed it to change destination mid-course. it will not be a factor at all 0% in my is500 purchase.
