Good news: After 108 days of pure waiting hell, I got a call this a.m. that my special order is finally at the dealer and will be ready to pick up tomorrow.

Bad News: Tropical Storm Ernesto is hitting town tomorrow.

So now I have to wait till the storm passes and hopefully pick up my new baby on Thurs. I'll check for any signs of high water in the trunk and engine compartment . So much for a nice Florida sunny drive home from the dealer. At least this storm is not a full {blown} Hurricane.

I have to drive south to Sarasota to pick up the new car, so that's heading into the storm.

I'm on vacation in florida right now in cocoa beach, lol....I live in Irivine,CA so this is kind of a cool experiance (considering no real danger). We got here saturday so we have been following this and it had a potential to put a real dampner on our vacation, but its all good....it will be a first time experiance to see a tropical storm

I'm in Tampa right now and so far it's only sprinkled here all day... I don't think it's anything you need to worry about. The storms we had last weekend were worst than Ernesto...

I'm in Melbourne and its cloudy and rainy now, don't expect tropical depression Ernesto until this evening. And it'll probably be just some rain and wind, not a big deal around here.

Congratulations on your car being here! All clear here in Sarasota now. Good thing to wait until tomorrow though to come pick it up in case anything should happen to come our way and damage it.

Clearwater and Tampa Bay were unwilling to come down at all. Wilde was taking off $2,500 for the IS 350 internet sales back in December. I got Tampa Bay to give me $2,500 more for my trade in based on a copy of the internet letter from Wilde. They would not come off MSRP by a penny. Course this is now August. They probably won't deal on 2007's or special orders. I'm sure they would deal on any sitting on the lot now but you never know. I would recommend dealing with Wilde.

Hey Lynette,
After watching the weather all day, I couldn't wait any longer so my wife and I picked up my car this evening!! I only had some very light rain to drive through. The sales rep took me back to the area where the car was being detailed, and my first words were actually "Daaamn", and that was before it was waxed! I'm still driving/walking on cloud nine right now. My favorite part driving home was watching everything get so small, so quick in the rear view mirror. I'm amazed!! The driving position and view of front and rear windshield make me feel like I'm in an F-22 jet fighter. Getting used to all the buttons now.

Can't wait for some nice driving weather now. I'll post some pics as soon as possible.

BoDarville- My out the door price was 40,524, or 2,900 off msrp. Clearwater and Tampa could not beat this deal, and wanted to give me less for my trade.

glad you guys are ok over there, I have alot of friends/family in florida and we were watching good o'l ernesto real close...its good the storm didn't get stronger
