Anybody else get Clear Shield installed on their IS at Park Place Lexus in Grapevine? Since the initial install two weeks ago I’ve had to take the car back in three times to get the stuff re-applied. First they said that the machine that cuts the material wasn’t working right and now they really don’t have any excuses as to why it keeps coming up. They did comp me my 10,000 mile service visit (just passed 5,000) for my inconvenience, but damn it doesn’t seem like rocket science to me.

I got my clear shield installed there when I bought my car about 3 months ago. The front seems to be holding up fine. The driver side mirror has a corner thats a little bubbled. I've been meaning to bring it in for a while. My salesman told me they would redo it. I'm thinking about ordering the OEM front lip. I cant decide if I should bring to Park Place to get the clear shield. Did they give you any warranty documentation for the clear shield? I was told it has a lifetime warranty against yellowing, peeling, etc. but I never got anything in writing. Overall my experience with P.P. Grapevine has been very good. Good luck to you. Hope they get it right this time!

They never gave me anything in writing about a lifetime warranty. If I decide to keep the Clear Shield (they offered to remove it and refund my money), then I hope it really is for the lifetime of the car. I'm just worried if it starts peeling up within days then I just can't imagine what it's going to look like in six months.

Anybody else in the DFW area get a clear bra installed? Any suggestions on a good installer. If I do get Park Place to peel the stuff off I want to get it re-applied by someone who knows what they are doing.
