I am going up and down San Francisco and Los Angeles for the 3rd time this month and 2nd in a week. I actually dont mind driving up and down especially since I am driving in the IS. Plus I can probably beat the check-in -> security check -> wait at the aiport -> 1 hour ride in the plane. The past 2 times it took me only 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 hours to do the 401 miles journey. Anyone else do this with their IS?

Have only taken mine from Irvine to Santa Barbara. Wish I had an excuse to go to the Bay Area in it though. What kind of gas mileage are you getting on those trips? I was getting 31-32 to Santa Barbara.

My "normal" (well average commute for Houston Texas) is 46 miles door to door or 92 miles a day... while I do cringe at putting that much mileage on the IS, it's made my drive an absolute joy.
Oh and I'm averaging 32 miles to the gallon. On open highway trips like this, the IS just seems to take em in stride

if you want an excuse to drive up to the bay area, you might want to consider hittin up the EOS meet in a few weeks.

I used to max out my CL-S and Esprit on I-5 on runs between SJ and LA... 149MPH and 165MPH respectively... It was an unusual feeling hitting the rev limiter on the Acura a few dozen times in a row over a span of 2 minutes...
PS - I am selling my CL-S, good price, never been abused, PM me if interested ;-)
