335i 300hp,300lbs.Did I make a mistake?
Hello everyone,
Man,I havent been posting much but I have been listening to what you guys talk about. What a great forum.Anywayz,I was going to work one day, parked my lexus on the 4th of the garage and I noticed a BMW coupe. As I rubbed my eyes in awe, couldnt help but notice it was a 325i 07.I said to myself "wow nice BMW".Continued to walk to my office and thought"Wait a min if the 325i is out then i'm sure a 335i will follow".I get into my office and check the BMW website, and sure enough.A 300hp,300lbs,and twin turbo for base $41,000 WHAT....This is what I've been waiting for a turbo engine. Now i'm in a pickle.I leased the Lexus IS 250 for 3 years,is there a way for me get out of this lease early.I can ask my sales person(he wont be to happy)but I was just wondering if anyone got caught in a situation like this.If I cant get out its no big deal i'll glady keep my Lexus.PLEASE,dont get me wrong I love my IS,best car I have ever drove, but a car with a turbo engine with a lot of hp is what I've been waiting all along.Any info would be great.

Sure you can get out of your lease. Call Lexus Financial. Ask for your buyout. Then Go to BMW and tell them what you owe, and find out what they will give you on a trade in. Depending on what you paid, and how long you have had the car you may not be too far under water.
The 335 will be the better "Drivers" vehicle, and you get 3 years of full maintenance. But I would dump the car when the lease ends. And dash looks atrocious

Honeslty, I'd veryyy worried about buying a turbo-charged Bmw, I don't think they've made a turbo car in many yrs.. I'm sure it will be a great driver's car, but I'd wait at least a year, to see what recalls show up first on the eariler models.. Just look at what went wrong with the early model e46 M3's..

There is always something bigger and better along the way. If the IS provides you with enough power and luxury that you need, then it should suffice for the next three years.
"What you WANT is sometimes not what you GET."
Be happy with your new car purchase. It's a great car, and albeit there are "better" cars, you have a great car nonetheless.
Enjoy your car, and trade it in for the IS500 coupe when that rolls around...

One part about your post kinda confuse me, you said you saw a 2007 325i coupe but BMW only has the 328i and 335i for 2007. Maybe you mistake the "8" for "5"?
The 335i sedan is coming soon as well so maybe you want to swing into that instead?
