Default Speaker rattle

Damnit my speaker is rattling on my ML system. I don't know which speaker it is. I think it's the subwoofer. I'll have to check tonight. Anyone else experience this problem too?

The last time I thought my speakers were rattling was because of the ring on the bottle cap

yes, I have the same intermitant problem. I already had the centre speaker replaced, and thought that had fixed it, but I believe the issue comes back from time to time. The subwoofer is in the back of the car right? My noise is definitely coming from the front.

I am having a bad rattle from the back of my car, with an ML. I play music at a decent volume, but definitely nothing unreasonable.

I've noticed one recently on my driver side rear door, right behind my ear!

right behind the ear sounds like the B-pillar rattle of the seat belt housing. i have the same thing. the car is so damn quiet i would think there would be one "imperfection" in the car so that the 2010 IS will not have it. it sounds like a small plastic peice, i hear it on both sides, with the music on or off, and at different speeds. perhaps SEARCH would help answer your question.

where is the rattle coming from on your car?

My biggest gripe here is that my lexus service dept. knows nothing about speakers, so diagnosis is a pain.

I agree! I had the problem where my ML system shut down on me once and a few on here have told me to have the dealer check out the amp. I brought it into the dealer, told them to check out the amp and they said that they did and there was nothing wrong. Their excuse is that they "can't replicate" the problem so nothing is wrong.

I am also having the speaker rattle problem but I can't really tell where it's coming from (which speaker). On top of that, I'm also having a problem where the music seems to transfer from one speaker to another. What I mean by this is imagine playing around with the balance button where you can hear the music on the right side of the car only or the left side only. I hear the music transfer like that w/o doing anything w/the balancing. Anyone else have this problem? It's so frustrating because I expected more from the ML system and I just know that if I describe this to the service guys, they're just gonna say they "can't replicate" the problem so nothing is wrong.
