Just "Special Ordered" a 350 because no one in NJ has ML.

most of the useres in this forum have waited months. i was not as head stong with my specs to get a special order as phil did. but i goot mine and i'm happy with it. some colors are very hard to get. the dealer should be able to sort out what the allocations are like for the next few weeks. lexus will build your car! but they have to take care of exceeding demand at the moment. for instance, my dealer told me that lexus only produces 1 car for every 3 dealers in the western region.

so.... i like having a tough to get car.

If the car you want is still not in this list, then you have to do a Special Order, and most salesmen are unaware of this privilage. In fact, some dealerships are unaware of this privilage.

When it comes to business, you try to do something easy for the most profit. Most salesmen won't spend too much time and hassle with a Special Order because, in the end, it's not worth it to them. It may be worth it to you, but it may not be worth it to them...
Everytime we go to the dealer here we talked to the same saleperson so in the 3-4 times this year we have been there we have kind of gotten to know him. Each time we go we ask if he has a 250awd with lux and nav and they never have one but he says that he would be more that happy to special order one with the options we want. We are not quite ready to buy have a current lease with a few more months. He did not push us to one that they have on the lot at all. I would think that either way it would still be a sale and a sale is a profit right?
