Default Thanks for the info

I think I will try to go to the dealership and try out a car with a 2007 nav just to see how updated it is from my 2006 model.

Will the "gs" use the same dvd nav disc as the "is" ? The dealer usually has a "gs" with nav in the showroom.

I wonder if the destination over ride will work in my car once I put the new nav disc in it? Is it the software (disc) that carries the over ride or is it the nav unit hardware?

Once you put the new nav disc in, it will update the software in your nav unit, and you will have the new V6 everything, which means the old V5 override code will not work.

That sucks... maybe I will wait until we know how to do the "destination over ride" on the version 6 before I purchase the disc.

I think it is stupid all of the nag screens the system has.

I want to drive down the road and input addresses and dialing the phone while looking at what song is playing on the radio

I sit in traffic and as soon as I move off the system locks me out until I stop again. I wish there was a way to change the speed that the system locks you out at. Make it like 60km/h or something.

I have been pleasantly surprised just how current it is for little ole Tulsa Okla.
It is showing all the side streets and highway changes that are fairly new.
The nav system always shows me in exactly the spot I'm at.
Even accurate with all the POIs.
