Luminated Scuff Plate (Help)
I have non-sports package equiped IS350 and would like to install luminated Scuff plates. When I popped off the stock plates and found out that my car had a plug but when pluged in the plate do not luminate. SO i was wondering if there was a fuse that needed to be installed so that they go on? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Thanks

Not to derail your thread, but as long as I'm posting in here, can someone tell me what IS an illuminated scuff plate? Can someone take a picture of it?
That is one of the reasons I'm turning away from the luxury package in favor of ST package. I don't want to pay for something when I don't know what it is... Well that plus I don't like the maple trim.

I have an 07 IS350 Blk/Blk base with Park Assist, upgraded 18" wheels and HID. I originally wanted to get the sports package with Nav/ML. But decided to build my own sports package instead after finding out that Nav/ML could not be ordered in Hawaii.
So far my "New Sports Package" includes: Sport Pedals, Luminated Scuff Plates (which work now ), Ceramic Tint 35%, Tein CS Coilovers, Rear Spoiler. And I still have an extra 500+ dollars that Im saving by building my own package. I still kinda wish I got the Perforated Leather Seat option... but oh well.
or I could have gotten this from Lexus:
Choice "J" ($2,855):
(SM) Performance Luxury Package (18" RWD)
225/40R 18+255/40R 18" alloy with summer tires
High Intensity Discharge + Adaptive Front Lighting System w/Auto Level Headlamps
Sport suspension
Memory
Smooth leather

The illuminated plates were standard on our IS. They are a cool blue color -- really looks nice with the black interior IMHO. Next time you're at the dealer, see if you can check one out in person. It is available on most models.

No way. You can have them installed in your car too. Just get the parts from your dealer. It shouldnt be a hard install but it really changes the look of your interior (with the doors open ).
