Unappreciated IS250

Time has changed. Parents of these days can afford more and not all of them want their children to go through a hard life as they did when they were younger.
That's what my dad told me, he heard it from his younger friends (mostly ppl who worked for him) who bought SLKs, Z4s, Boxters for their sons and daughters as graduation present.
I also had to walk and use public transport in high school 15 yeas ago, even until sophomore year in college. My dad is old school, the hard way is the best way he thinks. It was just a different time and a different way to teach the youngs. Who are we to judge ppl's method of teaching their children right?

This sounds like something from my high school. Granted the IS300 was my first car, but I appreciate it because I realize how lucky I am to not have to drive a POS.
People in my class drove ML350s, TLs, G35, but I had the only IS.

Spoiled kids like that (so many of them around these days) are bad news for the future of our society. They won't learn delayed gratification and take things for granted. Have to blame the parents though - they won't say no and won't enforce disciplines on those brats.

That is what i am really scared of. I just moved to a new high school so I dont know how its like down here in So Cal. Up there, everyone knew me and Im not the guy that likes to start sh#1, so 1 year up there with the IS350 no keyed but a ding. I hope nothing happens to my car down here.
No offense but you guys need to stop hating on these kids. Some of them really deserve and respect what they get and who they get it from. Haters...just like the security guy at the campus... kept telling me to park on the streets until I got my permit to park.

Man... why are the pretty ones always rich? ... Or is it the rich ones that are always pretty?
She obviously doesn't deserve that car. I would say someone should do something nasty to it... but that wouldn't be fair to the car. This is a problem that doesn't seem to have a solution unless her parents decide to take it back and give her a Pinto.
I drove an old Ford Escort in high school... and I still am, haha. At least for the next month or so. Hard work does pay off after all!
... And some of them don't. I think this girl sounds like she's part of the latter group.

The real crime here isnt that the girl is unhappy with her car, the real crime is that in some HS parking lots, the teenagers have WAY nicer cars than the teachers... its really a travesty if you think about it. You go to college to work your butt off to be an educator and to help develop the next generation... only to see the next generation drive nicer cars and wear nicer clothes than you.

Sounds like the kids at my high school. I just got my IS250 and I've been scared to death of getting keyed. I drove around a 92 plymouth sundance before I got my lex so I can actually appreciate the nice car that I'm driving around. Not to mention I'm paying for the whole thing myself. It sucks when kids at my school drive hummers and their daddy's benz to school and get their tires slashed. ha.
