I owned a '04 Acura TSX black, and its my only dark car i will ever own, that is partly the reason why i traded it in , for the '07 Lexus IS250 starfire pearl....

BBW? Do you mean BBM? Breakwater Blue Metallic?

But once you detail black cars, it REALLY pays off. I used to have a 95 ES300 in black. I cleaned it every week, 2 weeks tops. I used that Armor All: Wax As You Dry. It works pretty damn nice. With my diamond white pearl LX470, I only need to wash it every other or 3rd week. To me, white cars freshly washed and waxed look really nice when its sunny or when the sun is setting. But black...ooh...pretty... Iunno. It all depends on how much time you can devote to your paint and how much you love your car.

Screw it - the black or SGM color looks so sweet on this car! I actually enjoy the time I spend cleaning it and taking care of it, too. I use this waterless car wash & wax that is made by enviro-tech international. It ROCKS! We started using it on my husband's Supra years ago, and it still looks fantastic today.

Default waterless car wash

I tried the dri wash n guard system made by DWG International. It seems to work. I only used it once. It's really scary to use it the first time on my car. I was afraid I would scratch my car's finish. But it didn't. No water. Just spray it on, wipe and dry.

Actually, tungensten is really bad for hiding rock chips because apparently there is a black layer underneath the silver paint. This causes the rock chips to be much more apparent.

Well on the black car you have white under the paint.

But I agree .. black is a pain in the *ss keeping clean, and trying to avoid scratches and swirlmarks... this will be my only black car ever, I am going back to silver with the next one.

I've been through 3 cars so far, all BLACK ON BLACK, I have a very very busy schedule and almost never have time to wash my car, but man, once I do, and get it waxed up and what not, there is nothing that even comes CLOSE, and for me thats all worth it.
