BMW wheels?
i plan on getting a new IS350 soon, and even though i don't have it yet, i'm already scoping out wheels. i was wondering if BMW 3-series wheels would fit since they are both 5 lug, and if not, is there anyway to get them adapted. attached is a pic of a mock up.

You can get BBS wheels with a similar spoke pattern that are excellent quality and are lightweight.
I have RS-GTs on order which are similar to those with a deeper lip, hopefully they'll be here in mid-October. <sigh>

those are the M3 CSL wheels which are extremely lightweight. always loved the rims and wondered what they would look like on the IS, i think they look FBA!

that looks pretty nice. velocity motoring or something like that makes those wheels and the rs4 reps. maybe if we get a group buy, say 15 people willing to buy them, they can cut them up for our cars. I'm pretty sure the offsets will work too, i think...

Whatever rims you choose the BMW uses a 5X120 bolt pattern as opposed to the 5X114.3 of the Lexus. It will not bolt up. You can get aftermarket rims that look similar with the correct bolt patter though. However, if you are bold, I know someone that ran specific BMW BBS rims on his Legend (Legend also uses 5X114.3). He took it to a machine shop, had the holes filled in with aluminum until it was solid, then had the machine shop redrill to the 5X114.3 bolt pattern. This was over 5 years ago and he still uses the rims today. I don't even want to know how much it costs him, but he really wanted that style so he made it happen
There are also wheel adaptors, but it is not recomended and the minimum thickenss I've seen is 15mm so having the correct offset to accomodate that extra 15mm is tricky. It is cheap though at about $100 per adaptor set.
