Here it goes, this saturday night I go out to put some stuff in my IS. As i'm walking towards the car I noticed the driver side mirroe is turned it. I figured, no biggie, someone may have moved it in. I get closer I notice that it has been hit!! and is cracked down the side with paint rubbed off! OH man I was pissed. I inspected the rest of the car and saw no other damage. Does any know how much a new side mirror would run? Install price?

 

I'll bet its at least $600.00 installed.

 

I know Toyota replacements are 280/installed but Lexus might be more.

 

I got a repair quote from the dealer today. A toal of $870 bucks to replace the driver side mirror!!! ON top of that they would have to take the inside of the door down to take the damged one off. I'm not to keen on taking down the door, knowing my luck it will rattle like heck when I get it back. Anyone know of a better place I could get a driver side mirror....besides ebay? Thanks

And I though $400 was expesive when I broke the side mirror off my Camry XLE!!!

That quote sounds about right, I had to pay $600 just for the mirror someone knock out somehow. I claimed it on my insurance which helped a little. Sorry to hear about what happened. I felt violated when this happened to me

 

Are you mechanically inclined? If so, you can R&R the mirror yourself. It's really pretty easy.
