Default Look towards Japan...

Lexus Japan has an optional wood steering wheel for the IS.

I'm pretty sure that in time, it will trickle to the U.S. It may be expensive, but available.

Personally, I like the look of the wood steering wheel, but the leather one is sooo much more comfortable to the touch.

I love the stock one too much to change to wood, eventhough it looks sweet. Although I love wood steering wheels, especially on Caddys, the IS wheel is just perfect on my hands.

After getting an RX with a wood wheel as a service loaner, I couldn't agree more about the all leather wheel feeling better in the hands.

That looks SO out of place on the IS. But then again I think the wood trim looks out of place as well.

My dad's SC430 has a wood trimmed steering wheel, and I hate the way it feels. That said, I haven't been enjoying the way my steering wheel feels either. I haven't figured out WHY it doesn't feel good, but it makes my fingers sore on long drives. I've never experienced that with my previous cars.

if you have to get the wood wheel at least get the wood trim inside as well, either one without the other looks out of place

I really like the wood steering wheel look on lux. cars...I'm not sure it would work on our cars but the wood and carbon fiber steering wheels look great on porsches where both options are available
