I wax right over the gap. I wax the paint and the film. When removing the wax, if I cannot get to all of it at the seam, I go back lightly at the edge with a toothpick.

Good? Bad? It just has worked for me on 3 cars with Clear Bra.

That's what I found to give the best results. If you avoid, mask, or pamper
the edge of film, the finish will be less there.
Careful use of a wooden toothpick cleans that edge off nicely then a light buff.

That would still leave a strip that is unwaxed.

i wax over the film and use my microfibre towel + finger nail to get the edge.

I was thinking about a toothpick, but i think it would be too hard. Over time i assume a scratch would build up.

maybe...but i think too many bristles to be precise.
Once you wax it you'll get a feel for what works and what doesn't.

I guess a plastic toothpick could also work if you go parallel to the hood surface and not perpendicular.

I handwax that part rather than use my porter. and then I use my fingertip with a microfiber cloth covering it to get it out of the spot.

I find certain types of waxes/sealants will leave more white residue than others. The Klasse all-in-one is quite good. It does not leave too much. If you get the Sonus Acrylic spritz*, the stuff comes off very easy. I really wouldnt suggest using a toothbrush or toothpick...it will leave scratches.

P21S wax does not leave any residue whatsoever if you follow the instructions. The sonus carnauba spritz spray* is excellent for removing excess wax when its left on the surface for too long.

* or a good detailing spray

Wax all as you would if there wasn't a clear bra - four cars, four clear bras, and no problems.
