I think you're a bit too cautious.

Our 250 really don't have much power so you're not going to feel anything special. I would suggest turning off traction control with the pedal dance sequence, this will at least get you every last bit of power.

^^ Pedal dance wouldn't do anything on an IS250. Its only to disable the VDIM on the 2006 IS350s.

if the car has over 100 mi. nothing like that will hurt it, just not exactly be good for it, but its not going to blow up or anything. Now a 48 hour endurance test might but thats another story.

Incorrect it disables traction control. 250's don't have VDIM. I know I've done donuts after doing the pedal dance.

i thought the pedal dance turned off the vsc in the 250? i did the pedal dance once and the car with the squigly lines icon turned on.

IMO the whole pedal dance thing on the 250 is a bunch of bull, on night after a rain here I decided to test my theory in a big secluded wet parking lot. I just stopped the car and then floored it adn as expected the traction control kicked in and the car took of. Next I did the pedal dance adn did the same thing, this time the all she did was spin when I floored it, also did some donuts. Next after resetting the system I pushed the button to disable the traction and had exactly the same results as doing the pedal dance. Probably different on a 350 due to the VDIM but it makes no difference on a 250 rwd.

Yes you can floor it. As mentioned already, it's not necessarily good for the car (it never is regardless of how many miles are on it) but an occassional dip of the throttle won't hurt anything.

Pushing the button will only disable the trac up until 30 mph. I've gotten sideways on an onramp with the button pushed as soon as I got up to speed the trac beeped and you can feel the power being cut. Doing the same thing with the pedal dance the power did not get cut and I could continue to slide. So, yes I know it makes a difference.
