I'm Torn!
Well, after going back and forth on the 2007 IS350 or BMW 335i, i'm still torn.
The interior on the Lexus is so much nicer and full of gadgets that I enjoy, as Im a technology nut, however i may in the market for more of a sports car.
I went to a lexus dealership in fort lauderdale, and man were the dealers *******s and telling me they wont budge on MSRP on the is350. There is another dealership I'm goign to check out tomorrow and see if they will meet my lease requirements.
I have the lease configured for both cars. Finaincaily the BMW is a better lease deal. I guess it all comes down to a matter of preference.
i'll keep you guys posted. love this forum...

I've had my 350 since May, but I drove a 335i a couple of days ago. It was REALLY sweet. If the lease is better, I would definitely go BMW. Configured "about" the same, I figure that the Lex is about $5K less to buy. That makes for a difficult decision.

Ya, well from a lease standpoint, if done right.. you can get a $47k 335i with zero down for even less than what a 43k is350 when run me per month. The money factor and residual are more favorable.
However it is kind of insignificant and comes down to a personal choice.
They have the 335i sedan now, but I think I would go coupe... Still young and single, dont think i'll miss the 4 doors.

The interior is something you as a driver sees everyday. I also believe the IS is a very capable sports sedan. Option per option, the BMW will be more expensive, but if the lease is more affordable, the BMW might be a better option for you.
Personally, I think that both the 335i and the IS350 are pretty much similar in driving up to about 8/10ths. The BMW will edge ahead at 9/10ths and 10/10ths. Is the extra premium and more "utilitarian" interior worth it to you in 9/10ths + performance zone? Again, just my 2 cents.

I would go with the 335i too. I like the interior layour of the BMW without nav which is what I would get, but I think the IS definitely has better interior quality and I think needs nav to look complete. I'm also partial to the exterior of the BMW, especially with the cleaned up backend as opposed to the E90 sedan.
Granted, you can't go wrong with either car. Also the 335i bests the IS350 in torque by a bit, while having the same hp, but BMW underrated the 335i.

Plus don't forget about the BMW maintenance plan:
It covers all factory-recommended maintenance, oil service and fluid service, as well as items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear – such as brake pads, brake rotors and wiper blade inserts – for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
