Is Mark Levinson hard to find in the 250?
My fiance is shopping for a 250 rwd in the Nashville area. I want her to get Luxury Plus, 18 wheels, Nav/ML.
One dealer has the car she wants, except it does not have ML. The salesman said ML is a hard-to-find option in the 250, because the 250 is a small car and people are not willing to pay for better sound in a small car. From reading this board, I do not think that's true (but maybe this board is a specialized sample). He did say he could special order one with the ML though.
Also, when I mentioned I'm interested in Park Assist, he said it's not worth the $$ when you have a backup camera (the car on the lot did not have PA).
my questions:
1) do you think he is being truthful about the ML?
2) when you do a special order, how much bargaining power do you lose for the final price?
thanks!

Nevermind, it looks like ML is not an option in the south.
The salesman also said special ordering the ML would add about $2500 to the price of the car. He claims you pay over MSRP when you do a special order. is this true?

I don't know about this part. Why wouldn't people be willing to pay for better sound in a small car? People are paying for it in the 350 and it's the same size car. Unless you're talking about price, this statement doesn't make any sense.

i recommend shopping for your best price via email and internet and don't mention ML. Once you get to the price point you want ask about ML and mention you'll wait for special order.
