Sewell Lexus, a supporting advertiser on this site, offers Club Lexus members 10% off the list price of $5.41 for the filter, $1.00 for the drain gasket, and $26.10 for the cabin filter.
My guess is that unless you are buying large quantities, shipping charges will more than eat up the 10% on inexpensive parts like these, which is why I bought mine at the dealer. (My dealer was a sport and threw in the drain gasket for free )
Sounds like your dealer made a mistake. They shouldn't be charging you more than list price.
