Aluminum is actually quite brittle (as evidenced by those pics). Still, I don't see what's so sad about it. So what. They'll get it repaired, take it out on the road, and probably do the same, stupid thing again.

Default i am the owner

hey everyone.. i am the owner of this kick a s s 2007 IS350. I am also a sales rep at the lexus of knoxville. and gladly to add that i wasnt the driver when this happened. my friend took it for a joy ride and hit the car straight into the curb side ways.. both front and back wheels are broken. suspention checked out prefect.. front bearing needs to be replaced.. total cost about 3500.. the bad part about it.. this happend the second day.. the miles on the vehicle is 320... no body damage.. its calculated that speed was around 70-90.. vdim wasn't turned off.. thank GOD for the road hazard protection from the dealer. " told the insurance it was one big *** pothole.. its all taking care of.. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOUR FRIENDS DRIVE YOUR NEW CAR WITHOUT ASKING>> most people have no idea how powerful this car is..

Your friend is very... very VERY lucky he didn't flip the car. I don't know of a single person who has smacked sideways into a curb (or gone in the grass sideways) and not flipped the car (going at speed anyhow). You might wanna check out your rear diff... or at least not drive your car very hard, that halfshaft had to go somewhere before the rear wheel snapped.

Out of curio, did you check the blackbox on your car and see what his speed was at impact?

Your a very very nice friend!! Well once everything is ok, but everything won't be the same again. Mentally you'll be trippin about how the car is driving. I know I would be. I'm sorry about everything though. looks like everything is working out soo far. Good luck with everything else after it's fixed

You don't see what's so sad about it? Must be blind. If it was your ride, maybe it would be a bit clearer.

your friend really #ucked up your car. he took your 320 mile new car without permisson and did THAT? to say the very least, I doubt that'd be my friend anymore.

I sure hope the car will be the same again for you. good luck.

actually back wheel wasnt broke like the front.. it was just curbed.. the car looks much better than the wheel shows.. there wasnt a single scratch on the body.. the wheel gave up quick thats why nothing too serious happened to the suspention, control arms, etc. you are right i am one good friend..people at work still ask me if my friend still walking or alive.. anyways enjoy the show.. i belive the vehicle would be perfect.. if not.. i'll just get me another one and dont let anyone drive.. either way glad didnt have to pay msrp for the car.. P>S> if you all want a good deal on any new or used lexus call me at 865 218 1500.. ask for tim tarak.. i'll hook you up.... but no test drives in my ride..lol
