One sad, sad set of pictures (hit a curb)

Ouch. I've only seen one curb job more painful...in my last Denali. 24" Giovanna's with 35 series Pirellis. My friend was driving, taking a corner when the front left tire blew. Every spoke on the front left wheel broke, and the entire lip split and curled in on itself.
So basically, it CAN be done. Luckily this one won't cost you $2400 like mine.

Is anyone surprised that the car would just release like that into a slide? I mean unless he had absolutely no regard to how cornering works, could this go to show how poorly our cars handle?

i said no damage to the body as in the main parts.. only two plastic replacable parts are scratched.. really not bad considering the looks of the wheel.. i promise you it was a ****ty driver problem.. the only two other vehicles the person who wrecked the cars were a 93 lincoln town car and a 98 regal... so you can see where the problem all begun. i am still shocked that the suspension had no damage.. you have to love the way lexus builds the car.. any other car would have broke every single control arm. i am glad i wasnt in the car when he did it.. cause i probably would have kicked his ***... after it happened though i was thinking if i beat his *** or kill him there wouldnt be a way that he can pay for the damage.. so it was in my best interest to treat him good.. after the car is fixed.. i am gonna have to kick his *** really good...lol..

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing... There is absolutly no way that this was a 90mph crash or anywher near that speed. A 3600lb object traveling at 90mph has a significant amount of energy, it would have EASILY torn the wheels, suspension and all right off the car. He may have been going 70-90mph at one point, but the speed at impact was definatly a lot less.
