Well we all know that with rev. 6.1 the same needs for the tech to be able to get the setup screen are there. But where? I bought the 6.1 disk having no inkling that I would loose my override ability. Someone also told me that I cannot go back. Is that true?? Cuz I would if I could.

You can very easily go back... Just put the old DVD (V5.1) back in and pull the fuse to force a reboot of the nav system...

If you are highly motivated, you can burn a new DVD with the V6.1 map data, and the V5.1 override... Read the whole thread, and do some searching...

OK you guys, I am sorry I missed it being there earlier on. I am new to the forum. OK, tried to first copy the 6.1 and it works fine, even reloads the os once I disconnect the battery. But, when I make the disk with the 5.1 loading file, it works fine until I take the battery cable off. Then it says "please insert the correct disk." Could it be because my 6.1 is a GEN4 and the loader file I d/l is GEN5?? What to do??
