For those who've not done the hack, are you able to do the override, to search for destinations while driving? I was told the trick for '06 does not work for '07s?

It's confirmed that the 2007 do not have the same override sequence. But, it's not the '07 car, but rather the fact that the 2007's come with the newer V6 Nav DVD disc. The 2006 came with V5 of the Nav DVD disc.
Don't confuse this with the Gen 5 nav, both the 2006 and 2007 have the Gen 5 navigation system, but the DVD which has the map data is Version 5 on the 2006 and Version 6 on the 2007.
The new nav disc (Version 6) will be available for 2006 owners to purchase in November/December. Although, in all likelihood, by upgrading you will lose the override function.

Found this from mborner on my.is. He posted the entire diagnostic manual over there...it's too big to post over here.
Tried it, and it works perfectly...adjusted the volume on the bluetooth mic, as well.

Everybody, please understand. The NAV override is not available through the service menu on the 07 models. I did NOT post the entire diag. manual over at my.is. I simply posted a couple of pages from the repair manual. I did this because there were some people having difficulty getting into the service menu. I posted no instructions on how to override the NAV while driving in an 07 model. Simply put, it cannot be done at this time because the DVD version is different. I'm currently doing research to find out more. I will keep everybody posted.

Has anyone considered that the reason you cannot do the “trick” in the ‘07’s is because Toyota considers it a safety and/or liability issue and has therefore closed the loophole?
