Since we are all confessing...I have a problem as well. I can't stop flooring it at every light. Any suggestions?

My wife's BMW has push button start, but you still have to put a key in unless you've ordered the keyless option for an extra $1,000. Sometimes when I turn the pushbutton off, I forget that I have to take the key with me. Not worth $1000 IMO, but probably would have paid $500 for it.

Keyless/pushbutton start is one of the best features of the IS.

I've had the same problem, haha

And if you want something for your home to act like the smartkey, check out this rfid enabled door lock: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/77af/

Up until this morning, I was totally convinced I was the only one with this problem.

Other dumb things I do when driving another car - I do search for that start/stop button only to find nothing and try to unlock door without reaching for keys. Just last week I left the highlights of the Titan on all night and draining out the battery. And I'm sure sooner or later, this will happen to my golf car as well.

I wish all cars have same functions.

Sounds like we all have this "issue", lol

When I first got the car I'd keep going to remove the key when I'd stop, then laugh at myself.

Now I have a bad habit of walking away from the car and not locking it. Smart key for the house would rock BTW!

I was in a loaner car for two days and it was a pain having to use a physical key (how twentith century ). Also I do the same thing walk up to the locked car and just try to open the door.

We get spoiled easy don't we.

I see a class action lawsuit coming when we all leave our keys in our other cars and it gets stolen!!!

Funny....I have the same issue!!!

My wife constantly complains that she comes out of the car with a stiff neck cuz of the constant whip lashing from taking off so hard.

As far as the key, I have the opposite prob, I keep looking for the start button on all cars, to later figure out I have to use a key.

Since I have to switch to the other car (w/ regular key&remote), I don't have the issue. But I can imagine if I only drive the IS and over time, I will get used to cars without key starting the engine.

I didn't feel confession at all since the start stop buttom thing also on my motorbike as well and I like this function so much now I don't have to worry about where I put my key as long as it's with me that's all! Anyway it take sometimes and you will get use to it! Enjoy!!
