My Confession....after driving my 2IS
Here we go.....I have to confess ---
After driving two cars (2IS / ES) with push button start/stop, I have to confess that I cannot no longer drive a normal car. My brain has been deeply programmed to forget to do the fundamental thing ----> turn off the engine and remove key from ignition.
But, today I was happy to learn from the ES forum that I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought I was going crazy. It's difficult to break this habit. I drive an electric golf car at work so I can show homes to clients. Well.....once I park, I not only forget to turn off the power, the key is also left in the ignition. I've been yelled at on several occasions for my forgetfulness......but I still do it. Fortunately, the car hasn't been stolen yet. I did it twice with the Titan. Turned off the engine but forgot to remove the key, and the the truck was parked outside and visible to many folks.
How many of you've done this? I would love to do a poll but don't know how.

Same thing is starting to happen to me too.
I am having a worse problem however. I am so used to driving cars with hand brakes that I can not seem to remember to release the foot brake
It is slowly getting better but I still find myself driving away with the damn brake on way to often. A warning light does come on, but still, it makes me feel like an idiot

I had the opposite problem. For weeks after I got my IS, I kept trying to pull the key out of the ignition, but of course it's not there. And before I got rid of my old car, the first thing I did went got in it was to push the brake, but there's no push button!

i found myself doing the same thing when i rented a car last weekend. everytime i wanted to start or shut off the car i kept pushing some imaginary button on the dash then realized there was no button there. also whenever i reverse i find myself not even looking behind my shoulder anymore... =x

I don't know about shutting off the engine and removing the key problem, cause I drive two other cars on a regular basis that still uses keys. The problem I do have is...walking up to the cars that need keys and trying to open a lock door by just pulling on the handle...yeah.... Then I would laugh and have to press the unlock button THEN open the door haha!
