Default Fears About Lowering

Well ive done everything I have wanted except lower by car and put a ground effects kit. My fear as the title states is by doing so the frt lip of the car will be to low and will scrap on everthing such as parking entrances etc. Can some that has lowerd there car and put on either toms or oem body kit measure there frt lip spoiler to the ground so I may make a final desition. Thanks a whole lot.

i think the oem lip has the same exact clearance as the stock lip... doesn't make it any lower.

i had the same fear when i lowered/put my gfx front lip on.however i've had no problems at all with the front scraping..in fact i havent scraped it once...the gfx front lip replaces the stock one so it doesnt really make the front any lower

Generally true, but not always hehe

I saw some dude with a really low civic angle tooo much he was almost parallel to the driveway. He started going and got caught and his sideskirt ripped right off...it was a great Darwin moment.

Oh yeah, but that's like an extreme case. But then lowering that much is retarded, say goodbye to your suspension arms.

Smile Go for it!!!

Hey Jon!

I would say, go ahead and lower it!!! The front OEM lip does not go much lower than the factory bumper does so you won't be having any problems with going through places with it. I thought I was going to have those problems, but going through some very inclined areas here in El Paso the other day and the car's front bumper NEVER scraped the surface .

If you want to have more control over how much you want to lower the car, just get a set of coilovers and you should be OK.

Unless you live in the City. I live in Camden, NJ where theres alot of pot holes, uneven pavements and mass bumps and street bubbles. I understand by lowering your car theres alot of benefits. However, if you live in the city like me, it would be unwise to lower your car.
