I know this question has been asked/answered before, but previous instructions did not work for my 2006 IS 250.
I changed the oil in my car @ 10K, and need to reset the maintenance light. I have held/pushed the start button (w/foot off the pedal) and the trip reset button in every combination I can think of with no success.
If anyone can help with excrutiatingly detailed instructions I would be grateful!
Thanks.

And also in the FAQ stickied at the top of the forum.
The trick is that you need to hold the trip odometer reset button in while turning the ignition to the on position; continue hold the button until the dashes clear and zeros appear.

Thanks. Sorry if it wasn't clear, but I did try the method detailed in the FAQ and did not acheive the desired result. I'll try again w/the trick from Bichon...
