I tried tightening the mirror mount in my Supra. It was an exercise in futility.

The IS mirror is held on with a T-20 torx screw. Make sure you have this tool in your kit before any attempt at tightening. The mount appears to be identical to the Supra's. Good luck tightening it.

That's funny!!! The same thing happened to me last time. I though my ears we're going to pop. Opening one of the front windows slightly solves the problem. Weird !!!

Not the EXACT answer you might be looking for due to the vette picture, but..... this gives you an idea of how much turbulent air is flowing around your car which is what creates so much noise! Aerodynamics...
