Has anyone cut down the front plate mount?

Hiya!
Can the front license plate mount width be altered so it doesn't show beyond the width of my chrome plate frame? Or is there a narrowerer one available?

You can try to get the Japanese front license plate mount with is smaller and should able to fit the US plate here, or you can do like what I did
