Default Smart Key Functions

Does anyone know what, if any, limitations there are when the manual key is pulled out of the remote? Can you still start the car? Does it put it in valet mode? Does it limit any functions? etc.

It doesn't do anything to the smart key. It just removes the mechanical key so that if you disable the electric trunk release (with the button on the left side of the glove box), and then lock the glovebox -- you'll be able to secure valuables in the glovebox and trunk. The electronic part of the key works as it always does, opening doors, starting the car, etc.
